Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Le concept \u00ab\u00a0One Health\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0Une seule sante\u0301\u00a0\u00bb est un approche globale qui vise a\u0300 promouvoir la sante\u0301 de tous les e\u0302tres vivants, qu’ils soient humains, animaux ou ve\u0301ge\u0301taux. Cette approche reconnai\u0302t que la sante\u0301 de l’un est lie\u0301e a\u0300 celle de l’autre et que les proble\u0300mes de sante\u0301 ne connaissent pas de frontie\u0300res.<\/p>\n

L’Organisation mondiale de la sante\u0301 (OMS), l’Organisation mondiale de la sante\u0301 animale (OMSA) et la Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) sont quelques-unes des organisations qui soutiennent ce concept. Elles travaillent pour promouvoir la sante\u0301 de tous les e\u0302tres vivants et prote\u0301ger l’environnement.<\/p>\n

Dans la re\u0301gion de l’Adamaoua, le projet PPOH (Programme Global de Pre\u0301vention et Re\u0301ponse aux Pande\u0301mies One Health) est en cours de mise en \u0153uvre et vise a\u0300 renforcer la capacite\u0301 des communaute\u0301s a\u0300 pre\u0301venir et a\u0300 re\u0301pondre aux pande\u0301mies en utilisant l’approche \u00ab\u00a0One Health\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Les enjeux de ce projet sont nombreux. Il s’agit notamment de promouvoir la sante\u0301 de tous les e\u0302tres vivants, de prote\u0301ger l’environnement et de renforcer la se\u0301curite\u0301 alimentaire. Le projet PPOH vise e\u0301galement a\u0300 ame\u0301liorer la collaboration entre les diffe\u0301rents acteurs de la sante\u0301 et a\u0300 renforcer les syste\u0300mes de sante\u0301 locaux.<\/p>\n

Dans la re\u0301gion de l’Adamaoua, le projet PPOH est de\u0301ja\u0300 en train de porter ses fruits ou\u0300 les communaute\u0301s locales sont de plus en plus sensibilise\u0301es a\u0300 l’importance de la sante\u0301 de tous les e\u0302tres vivants et a\u0300 la ne\u0301cessite\u0301 de prote\u0301ger l’environnement. Les syste\u0300mes de sante\u0301 locaux sont e\u0301galement en train d’e\u0302tre renforce\u0301s, ce qui permettra de re\u0301pondre de manie\u0300re plus efficace aux pande\u0301mies futures.<\/p>\n
