Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Peniche, Portugal, recently offered an ambulance and a firefighting vehicle to the Municipality of São Lourenço dos Órgãos, within the scope of a cooperation protocol.
According to a publication by this humanitarian association, on its Facebook page, in addition to the vehicles, personal protective equipment and various first-aid material was donated.
“Following the Cooperation Protocol signed between both entities, the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Peniche, was present in the Municipality of São Lourenço dos Órgãos where it witnessed the reception of donated vehicles and materials”, explains the corporation.
Reinforcement of firefighting and transport of patients
The vehicles, according to the Municipality of São Lourenço dos Órgãos, will reinforce the fight against fire and transport of patients in the most distant areas of the city of João Teves.
According to the same source, several instructional actions were also carried out aimed at Firefighters in the Municipalities of São Lourenço dos Órgãos, Santa Catarina and Tarrafal, which had elements from seven other local municipalities.
