Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Ombudsman expressed this Monday to the President of the Republic the need for a new structure adaptable to current times in a year in which he plans to carry out various training courses in administrative, constitutional and municipal rights.
José Carlos Delgado expressed this concern during the New Year’s greetings to the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, considering that the organization of the institution he directs, dating from 2018, is a little out of step with the new reality, having guaranteed that the training will cover the 75 focal points of the provider.
He also promised for the current year a program of contacts with all the municipal assemblies across the country, extended to the communities, in addition to various other actions of an institutional nature, and visits to prisons, hospitals and the INPS, as well as confessions religious, to demonstrate the views of the Ombudsman.
“I think the impacts have been positive, because these visits have allowed the Ombudsman to publicly pose the questions posed, both by the mayors, to which the entities transmit… Justice and establish channels of access to the provider”, he stressed.
