Africa-Press – Cape verde. The environmental initiative “Praia Cidade Verde” planted 50 seedlings of fruit trees today at Constantino Semedo Secondary School, in the neighborhood of São Filipe, in the city of Praia.
The act is part of the campaign that has been carried out by environmental activist Emileno Ortet, through the company Agrofloresta Rui Vaz, which aims to transform Praia into a green, clean and sustainable city.
After contemplating several neighborhoods in the country’s capital, this time it was the turn of Constantino Semedo Secondary School, the birthday boy this Saturday, 04.
Helping to fight climate change
According to Emileno Ortet, a total of 50 fruit plants were planted, including mangoes, guavas, pine nuts, pitangas and tangerines, thanks to a partnership between Agrofloresta and Garantia Seguros.
The idea is to help combat climate change, improving the atmosphere, climate and fighting hunger, in addition to bringing more beauty to the city.
Agrofloresta has been committed to combating desertification, encouraging companies and entities to join the project to promote green spaces throughout the national territory.
