Elvis Duarte won first place today for the best physique in the contest and is among the top three most voted in the poll open to the public. The crowning of the most handsome man in the world takes place on Friday night, the 16th.
Elvis Duarte has been in the Philippines since the 7th of June, preparing for the big day of the contest.
Since then, he has done photo shoots, small preparation shows, institutional visits and has even won awards: today he won the “gold” medal, in the category of best physique in the competition.

The model, who was born in Praia but currently resides in Sal, has high expectations and believes that, through the competition, he can serve as an inspiration for other young people to follow their dreams.
“For me it is not a contest about beauty and the ideal body, but about values and being an example to be followed by young people, especially from the Cape Verdean community”, says the 29-year-old model.
