PR appoints new Cabo Verde ambassadors in Morocco, Austria and Angola

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, has appointed, at the proposal of the government, new ambassadors for Cabo Verde in Morocco, Austria and Angola, according to a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday.

According to the aforementioned decree, Elias Lopes Andrade is appointed, on a proposal of the Government, to exercise, in an ordinary service commission, the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Cabo Verde to the Kingdom of Morocco.

It should be noted that, Cabo Verde’s ambassador to Portugal, Eurico Correia Monteiro, who resides in Lisbon, has served as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Morocco from July 2019 to May 2023.

The Head of State, according to the note, also appointed Júlio César Freire de Morais, who had been acting as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Cabo Verde to the United Nations, to the position of ambassador of Cabo Verde in Angola, with effect from 01 July.
