Africa-Press – Cape verde. The signing of the works contract for the construction of the long-awaited, refurbished road that connects the tourist town of Santa Maria to Espargos, will be signed this Thursday, June 6th, at 11am, in the Hall of the Town Hall.
According to the local authority, headed by Júlio Lopes, the construction of the “(new) Estrada Santa Maria/Espargos takes us to another dimension of the future and development”.
During the signing act of what is considered “a great moment” for the most touristic island of the archipelago, the Ministers of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, the Minister of Infrastructure, Land Planning and Housing, Eunice Silva, the President of Sal City Council, Júlio Lopes, among other personalities.

The company responsible for carrying out the work will be Empreitel-Engenharia e Construção, winner of the public tender for the EN1-SL-01 road.
