Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Mayor of Maio, said today that “everything is ready” for the start of activities related to the final of the Cape Verdean football championship, scheduled for Saturday, 28 July, at 3:30pm.
Miguel Rosa announced, in a press conference, that the road that gives access to the stadium will be inaugurated today, but before that, at 10:00 am, there will be a joint conference with the participation of the city Council, the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF) , Regional Football Association and representatives of the two teams.
The mayor considered, on the other hand, that this is the biggest event that the island has been hosting so far, so he took the opportunity to thank FCF and all the partners involved in the event, stressing that this will provide economic operators with the opportunity that they can earn some income.
He underlined that they are creating the conditions in a dialogue with the National Police so that it is possible to sell alcoholic beverages in the vicinity of the stadium, but “respecting the alcohol law”.
