Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Culture, Abraão Vicente said that Cabo Verde “was very well represented” by the artists who were selected based on various criteria to participate in Expo Dubai 2020 and promote Cabo Verdean culture.
In a message of thanks published on his official Facebook page, Abraão Vicente, who is also Minister of the Sea, thanked the artists and the Cabo Verdean delegation who accompanied the Government in what he considered to be a great journey, Cabo Verde’s participation in Expo Dubai 2020.
“What matters is that Cabo Verde was up there on a big world stage, we had artists who agreed to convey their credibility, their talent and will, gave us their time to go with us to Dubai,” he said, noting that the Government offered nothing extraordinary and the artists did not receive millions of escudos to participate in the event.
It was, according to the Minister of Culture, the love of the artists for Cabo Verde that motivated them to participate in the fair, he also informed that the participation of the artists was financed through the mobilization of resources Cabo Verde managed to make to pay for their trip.
