Africa-Press – Cape verde. Since the 10th of July, the Ministry of the Sea has been cleaning up the boat drag beach in Baía das Gatas, in São Vicente. The works, budgeted at around 2,892,250$00, were carried out after a request from the fishing community of Salamansa, during the visit of Abraão Vicente, who noted the need for fishermen to have better conditions for dragging their fishing vessels .
It should be remembered that in addition to cleaning, the works include the construction of a breakwater and removal of stones.
The cleaning of this beach is budgeted at around PTE 2,892,250 (two million, eight hundred and ninety-two thousand, two hundred and fifty escudos), fully financed by the Ministry of the Sea, through the Autonomous Fisheries Fund.
