Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Tourism and Transport today emphasized the success of the measures adopted by the Government to stabilise TACV and the arrival of a second aircraft to expand transport options for Cape Verdeans and tourists
“It’s not just the fact that we privatized, that we had a partnership with Icelander, that there is a loss for the company. And we did what a responsible government would do in a country with archipelagic conditions, in a small country, in an archipelagic country that needs to have this company. And what are we doing? We are stabilizing this company”, declared Carlos Santos.
The minister also emphasized the tourism diversification policy and its connection with the reinforcement of the TACV fleet.
“The second aircraft has now arrived, which will provide greater choice for Cape Verdeans, but also for tourists. And this is in line with this tourism diversification policy. And have no doubt that this policy is very good and will succeed. Don’t be afraid of this aircraft or the cockpit. Do not worry about these matters, which are incidental matters”, he reassured.
