The Banco de Cabo Verde Museum, created to show the history of money and banks in the country, will be inaugurated this Thursday afternoon, 27th, in an act chaired by the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, accompanied by the Governor Oscar Santos.
The museum, located in the social building of the Central Bank, in Achada de Santo António, aims to communicate to the public the main missions of the Bank of Cabo Verde, according to an article published on the BCV website.
According to the same source, this will be a space for the dissemination of knowledge, open to the community, which transmits the cultural heritage of the Central Bank through exhibitions and cultural actions.

In this sense, there is a permanent exhibition with three thematic areas: the History of Money, Chronology and Banks, where the historical collection of Banco Nacional Ultramarino and Banco de Cabo Verde is on display.
This, in addition to other day-to-day Central Bank objects and objects related to the processing of money and stamps to produce coins and banknotes.
After the inauguration scheduled for 4 pm this Thursday, 27, the space will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
