Africa-Press – Cape verde. According to the new maximum prices from the Multisectoral Economy Regulatory Agency (ARME), fuels are generally more expensive, with an increase of around 3.57%. Prices are valid from 01 to 31 August 2023.

According to the new table that came into force from 00:00 today, August 1, 2023, gasoline will be sold at 147.30 escudos per liter, oil at 137.50 escudos per liter, normal diesel at 125 .00 escudos per litre, diesel for electricity at 111.30 escudos, marine diesel at 96.30 escudos a litre, fuel 380 is now sold at 85.50 escudos and fuel 180 is now priced at 88.50 escudos kilogram shields.

For its part, butane gas is now sold in bulk for 123.90 escudos kilograms (kg), with 3kg bottles at 353.00 escudos, 6kg bottles at 744 escudos, 12.5 kg bottles , at 1549 escudos and those weighing 55kg at 6,816 escudos.

According to ARME, in percentage terms, in the internal market, the prices of butane, gasoline, oil, normal diesel, electricity diesel, marine diesel, fuel oil 380 and fuel oil 180 increased by 4.91 %, 3.30%, 5.28%, 3.73%, 4.21%, 4.22%, 1.18% and 1.72%, respectively.

Average increase in fuel prices of 3.57%

Compared to the same period of the previous year (August 2022), the average change in fuel prices corresponds to a decrease of 25.04% and, in relation to the average change over the current year, corresponds to a decrease of 3.86%.

According to the same source, the new maximum selling prices to the final consumer were established under the provisions of the law in force, and, under the terms of Decree-Law no. 19/2009, of 22 June, which establishes the guiding principles and the formula for calculating the Maximum Sale Prices to the Final Consumer.
