
Africa-Press – Cape verde. Shareholders of the Intermunicipal Water Company, Águabrava, are meeting today in the city of São Filipe in a general assembly to analyse the possibility of bottling water and the election of new governing bodies of the company.
On Thursday, Águabrava’s board of directors met to analyse the accounts for 2022 and the activity plan and budget for 2023, which, according to the chairman of the board of directors, Nuías Silva, will be submitted to the general assembly for approval.
During the general meeting other issues will be analysed that have to do with the life of the company, such as the new project for the bottling of water by Águabrava, but also the possibility of it taking over the tasks related to rubbish collection, through the creation of a sanitation department within Águabrava.
Nuías Silva said that this issue is one of the competences that has been foreseen since the creation of Águabrava and that it is not being executed and in this general meeting the shareholders, who are the municipalities of Brava, Mosteiros, Santa Catarina do Fogo and São Filipe, will analyse and define the next steps for its implementation and therefore today’s meeting will not leave any resolution of execution immediately
