Africa-Press – Cape verde. On Thursday, the 10th, the Ponta Verde team won the 19th edition of the São Lourenço tournament and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the União de São Lourenço team, created in the 60s/70s of the last century.
The team from Ponta Verde defeated their counterparts from Santo António by 2-0 in the final game, with the goals scored in the opening minutes of the first half through Loras, at four minutes, and Fredy, at eight, thus giving the title to the formation of Ponta Verde.
The tournament is held annually by the União de São Lourenço team as part of the festivities of São Lourenço, patron saint of the parish with the same name.

In addition to the title of champion of the tournament, the team from Ponta Verde also took the fair-play team trophy.
Santo António received the tournament runner-up trophy and Monte Vaca the third-placed cup.
In the individual awards, Domingos Cardoso won the trophy for best goalkeeper, Inielson top scorer with seven goals, Alex Tony the best player of the tournament.
