According to the statement from the Attorney General’s Office, issued this Sunday, the 20th, these survivors were presented to the court on the 17th, within the framework of the “Legal Regime for Entry, Permanence, Exit and Expulsion of Foreigners from Cape Verdean Territory”.
Thus, the measure of placement in a temporary installation center was applied, with a view to guaranteeing their expulsion from the national territory.

It should be remembered that these clandestine migrants were rescued in a vessel with an open mouth that was found 150 miles off the coast of the island of Sal last Tuesday, 15th, by a fishing vessel flying the Spanish flag.
It contained 38 survivors, as well as seven corpses, which will also be transferred to Senegal.
