Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Dutch travel organization Voja Travel’ signed an agreement with Cabo Verde in the amount of 100 mil euros to be invested in environmental preservation initiatives.

The information was released to the press by the Ministry of Tourism, through a press release, which indicates that the Minister of Tourism, Carlos Duarte Santos, was, last week, in the Netherlands and Belgium, having discussed the topic of sustainable tourism with the ‘Voja Travel’.

According to the same source, the offer was made by the founder and administrator of ‘Voja Travel’, Joshua Van Eijndhoven, who highlighted, at the time, the need for travel companies to contribute so that Cape Verde knows how to deal with the climate transition

Van Eijndhoven said that Cabo Verde with this financing will be able to install an annual production of 100,000 kWh of electricity, saving approximately 704,000 liters of diesel over the useful life of the solar panels.
