Sindprof prepares new forms of struggle amid “lack of answers” to teachers’ problems

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Democratic Teachers’ Union (Sindprof) promised today to move on to other forms of struggle in the face of the Government’s “lack of responses” to the problems that have been raised by the teaching class.

This is a warning given after recent statements by the Minister of Education, Amadeu Cruz, according to which everything was ready for a good start to the academic year, with significant investments in infrastructure and the completion of the transfer and placement process of new teachers.

However, these words do not seem to reassure the teaching profession, with Sindprof questioning whether these efforts are sufficient to guarantee a smooth start to the academic year.

While praising the investments in improving school facilities, the union highlights that the central concern must be the “human capital” of education – teachers.
