Africa-Press – Cape verde. The cyclist Rúben Lopes, from Santo Antão, won this Sunday, September 3rd, the cycling race in celebration of the 61st anniversary of the Municipality of Porto Novo. Vady Fonseca and Rogério Gomes ranked second and third respectively in this competition.
The race had the participation of 15 cyclists from the islands of Santo Antão, São Vicente and São Nicolau and was promoted by the Porto City Council in partnership with the Santo Antão Sul Regional Cycling Association, with the support of the National Police and the volunteer firefighters from Porto Novo.
In athletics, Letícia Neves and Artur Silva were the winners of the trail in the municipality of Porto Novo in male and female seniors, respectively.
