
Africa-Press – Cape verde. Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva will, as of today, Tuesday 5th, visit the Republic of Estonia as part of the consolidation of the digital economy in Cape Verde. Estonia, says a government statement, is a country “recognized for its leadership in the digital sector”.
On this visit to that northern European country, which will last for two days, Ulisses Correia e Silva will participate in the Talllin Digital Summit and the 8th Open Government Partnership Global Summit, which will take place tomorrow, the 6th.
However, the Cape Verdean Prime Minister has scheduled a meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas, for 10:25 am today. Soon after, at 11:15 am, he will meet with the Deputy CEO of the OGP (Open Government Partnership) Joe Powell.
In a statement, the government points out that Estonia is a country “recognized for its leadership in the Digital Sector” and states that, due to the “strong agenda centered on the consolidation of the Digital Economy”, it is necessary for Cabo Verde to participate and continue to participate in events of the gender.
“This, with a clear commitment both to infrastructure, training human resources, and building relevant contact networks, as these are the events that the Cape Verdean delegation will participate in, as well as scheduled meetings”, underlines the same source.
