Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister assured today in Tallinn (Estonia) that Cabo Verde has rapidly accelerated its efforts to become a “digital nation” and that to achieve this it wants to create a partnership with this European country.
Ulisses Correia e Silva gave this guarantee when speaking at the opening of the Tallinn Digital Summit, an annual event organized by the Estonian government, which brings together leaders of digitally advanced nations to discuss the challenges and opportunities of an interconnected world.
“I have long looked forward to visiting Estonia, particularly due to the remarkable digital revolution it has so brilliantly achieved. Cabo Verde also shares the ambitious objective of becoming a Digital Nation. We are rapidly accelerating our efforts toward this vision. We would like to take this opportunity to forge a strong partnership with your esteemed nation”, stated the head of Government.
According to Ulisses Correia e Silva, the archipelago has comprehensive strategies and action plans in place for digital governance and open governance, being “deeply committed” to accelerating digital transformation, which will benefit democracy, governance, economy, well-being of citizens and sustainable development.
