Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government of Cape Verde still has no news of Cape Verdeans directly affected by the earthquake that struck the Kingdom of Morocco, this Friday, 8. Cape Verde monitors the situation, mainly of students in this kingdom, through the Embassy in Rabat. The Government has already expressed dismay at what happened.
According to a press release, the Cape Verdean Executive conveys to the Government and the Marroquinho people all its solidarity and feeling of “deep regret” to the families of the victims and to all those who were in some way affected by this seismic shock.
Morocco has a significant community of Cape Verdean students, which is why the Cape Verdean Government is monitoring the situation, and, to date, there is no record of Cape Verdeans among the victims.
