Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean women’s football team faces Liberia’s counterpart this Tuesday, at 2:30 pm, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium, in Monrovia, in the first leg of the qualifying preliminaries for CAN’2024.
In the first leg, held at the National Stadium in Praia, Cabo Verde won 3-0, with goals of Evy Pereira and Vá Moreira, who scored twice in the match.
Therefore, Cabo Verde goes into the match with an advantage and needing a draw to qualify for the next round, where they could face Nigeria or São Tomé and Príncipe.
Meanwhile, the national coach, Silvéria “Nita” Nédio, warned, in a press conference after the victory in the first leg, that the team must be “very careful” in this Tuesday’s game in Liberia.
