
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Tourism Fund will invest 34 thousand contos in the 2nd phase of requalification of Curraletes beach in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, as a way of encouraging private companies and promoting tourist projects in this bathing area.
The Porto Novo City Council guarantees that the investment “will offer all the conditions for private companies to continue with good investments” in that bathing area, “one of the most frequented on the island of Santo Antão”.
The signing of the program contract takes place at a time when a hotel unit is being built in the Curraletes area, with an investment of 200 thousand contos, under the responsibility of an investor from the Netherlands.
The requalification project for the second phase of Curraletes beach, which should start later this year, consists of the construction of a car parking lot, an area for tents, terraces and restaurants, public bathrooms, a children’s playground and the relocation of the stage , among other interventions.
