The regional event will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, in Praia, alongside a fair dedicated to the sector with 94 exhibition stands, an area dedicated to electric cars and three meeting rooms.
Omar Alieu Touray lands in Praia today and the public program starts on Wednesday, being received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo Soares.
On the same day, the president of the ECOWAS commission will meet with the Cape Verdean prime minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, with whom he will unveil the plaque for the new headquarters of the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
The center has been operating since 2010, in Praia, and will have new facilities.
Omar Alieu Touray speaks, on Thursday, at the official opening ceremony of the 8th ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum, at the National Assembly.
Still on Thursday, the regional leader will deliver humanitarian aid to the Cape Verdean Government and end the public program with a courtesy visit to the President of the Republic, JoseĢ Maria Neves.
