Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Center for Art, Crafts and Design today opened applications for the Djoy Soares 2023 award as part of the 8th Crafts and Design Fair (URDI) in Cape Verde, scheduled for November 29th, in São Vicente.
According to the CNAD, interested parties must submit applications by November 23rd for the award, created in honor of the late master and ceramist Djoy Soares.
According to the regulations, only participants in the fair will be admitted, with a single piece being considered for each application. This must be evaluated by sending photos and the name of the piece, the name of the participant and the material used.
The organization will award two prizes and one of the winners will be chosen through popular voting on the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design Facebook page.
The 8th edition of the URDI Fair, which will take place until December 3rd, under the motto “Emigration in the poetics of the islands”, is organized by CNAD, a public institute under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries.
