Africa-Press – Cape verde. The residents of Pico da Cruz, Ribeirão Fundo, Água das Caldeiras, Lombo de Figura, Companhia and Lagoa, in Planalto Leste, Santo Antão, were, on Monday, provided with equipment to capture the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) signal. .
The delivery was made by the Municipal Council of Porto Novo, which informed that the purpose is “to allow residents in these locations to have better access to the means of communication and information”, by improving the DTT signal capture signal.
The Porto-Novense municipality informed that it is working with its partners to guarantee access to information for all Porto-Novenses, as it is considered “a basic necessity”.
“There has also been no shortage of efforts with our partners to bring cell phone and internet signal to all villages because we understand that an informed and enlightened society also contributes to the development of its community”, explained the city council, through a note.
Practically the entire municipality of Porto Novo is covered with DTT signal, thanks to the centers installed in Morosos, Planalto Norte and Tarrafal de Monte Trigo.
