Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean Association announced this Tuesday the opening of a book of condolences in memory of the singer Sara Tavares, of Cape Verdean origin, available from today at the organization’s facilities in Lisbon.
The book will be open to all people who with Sara Tavares “had the opportunity to share the charm of her singing”, reads a note from the association.
“On this trip you will be able to leave in this symbolic gesture what you feel about the present and future memory of this daughter of Cape Verdean origins but also of the world”, continues the organization.
This book of condolences will later be delivered to the family of Sara Tavares, who died on Sunday, aged 45.
On Thursday, 23rd, the day of the funeral, which will be restricted to those closest to us, a minute of silence will be held in memory of the singer, in the Association’s Social Hall.
