Africa-Press – Cape verde. Académica, a first-tier team, took sole leadership of the Fogo regional championship, beating Juventude 3-0 on Sunday at São Lourenço in the closing game of the second round.
With six points gained in the two matches already played, Académica, the only team that has not yet lost points or conceded goals, has a two-point advantage over second-placed teams, Cutelinho and Botafogo, both with four points.
In the other game held on Sunday, at the Francisco José Rodrigues stadium, Cutelinho beat Juventus de Curral Grande 2-0.
Result of the second round games: Botafogo 1 – Volcânico 0, Nô Pintcha 1 – Valencia 0, Académica 3 – Juventude 0 and Cutelinho 2 – Juventus de Curral Grande 0.
The Academic classification leads with six points, followed by Cutelinho and Botafogo with four, Valencia and No Pintcha with three, Grito Povo and Volcânico with one and Juventus and Juventude with zero points.
