Africa-Press – Cape verde. The game Rosariense, leader of the competition with nine points, Santo Crucifixo, second with six, scheduled for Saturday at 16:00, is the highlight of the fourth and penultimate round of the Opening Tournament, in football, Santo Antão Norte.
The most anticipated match of this round, as it pits the top two teams against each other, could be decisive for both teams.
In case of victory, Rosariense will be the direct winner, but if Santo Crucifixo wins or draws everything will be postponed until the last round, as the Coculi team will be depending on itself to win the tournament.
The day, in which the Solpontense team is left out, also includes the Paulense- Foguetões derby, scheduled for 2:00 pm.
In the classification, Rosariense leads with nine points, followed by Santo Crucifixo with six points, Solpontense has three points, Paulense and Foguetões have not yet scored.
The Opening Tournament is being played over five rounds in a one-handed all-against-all system.
Following the Opening Tournament, the Nené Super Cup will be played, on December 9th, and the North Region Cup, also in an all-against-all format.
The regional championship is scheduled to start on January 6, 2024 and will feature the participation of five teams – Rosariense, Santo Crucifixo, Foguetões, Solpontense and Paulense – who will compete in the competition over 10 rounds, that is, everyone against everyone in two rounds.
The Beira Mar and Torreense teams decided to suspend their participation in this season’s official competitions.
