Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean President, José Maria Neves, is carrying out, between this Thursday and Saturday, a working visit to Portugal, during which he will meet with his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, to discuss bilateral and European relations.
According to Lusa, José Maria Neves will be received early Saturday afternoon at the Palácio de Belém, for a meeting in which the two heads of state “ will analyze bilateral relations, in line with the ongoing commitment to cooperation and dialogue between the two nations ”, announced the Cape Verdean Presidency.
“ The opportunity will also serve to talk about multilateral cooperation, within the scope of the Special Partnership with the European Union ”, he added.
Even earlier, on Friday, José Maria Neves will participate in the ceremony awarding the title Doctor Honoris Causa to the former Cape Verdean head of state Pedro Pires, by ISCTE.
