Africa-Press – Cape verde. Kelton dos Santos is a young digital art enthusiast who decided to invest in creating realistic illustrations, a way to overcome unemployment and earn income, with a view to creating his original brand.
Speaking to Inforpress, Kelton dos Santos, originally from São Lourenço dos Órgãos, but residing in the City of Praia, explains that a year ago he decided to invest in digital art with realistic illustrations that impress.
He learned to draw with video classes on the Internet, but he wants to specialize in this area, as the objective is to create his own brand and set up a studio.
“My interest in digital illustration came from when I was little, when I watched animations and television. So I started researching, entering this world and discovering the artists who make these drawings”, explains the young man.
The 20-year-old is currently not studying and is unemployed. Meanwhile, digital art allowed him to earn some income from commissioned work. Even so, the difficulties in acquiring materials somehow affect his productions.
“Art is my only occupation and the only way to earn some money. The lack of working materials, such as professional digital pens, are the main challenges I face,” she said.
According to the young man, digital art offers countless advantages, which is why he wants to specialize in this area, create a studio and his own brand.
“The advantage of digital art is that you can draw on mobile devices, such as tablets and cell phones, and this allows you to draw anywhere. In other words, you can work wherever you are”, explained the digital artist.
In the future, Kelton says he intends to use artificial intelligence to improve his work and digital animation will be his next big bet.
