Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute for Research and Agrarian Development (INIDA) plans to pay about 141 million escudos in pension to 75 workers for early retirement, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva, announced on Wednesday.
The Minister presented in Parliament the bill establishing the special regime for INIDA workers early retirement, having clarified that it arises from the urgency of “reducing the wage load and the excessive number of workers”, aiming at career progression and use of resources to finance projects.
“We are talking about a pension totaling 141 million escudos, approximately, if all 75 of these people want to go to early retirement, which would mean an advantage, both for those who go to retirement, as well as for INIDA, who, in this way, would be better structuring its management,” he said.
According to the minister, the amount will be guaranteed by INIDA, directly, within the framework of the management it took over to do and according to the articulation made with the State, namely the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, as well as with the National Institute of Social Security (INPS) and trade unions.
