Africa-Press – Cape verde. The requalification projects for Largo de Cruz dos Passos and Presidio Square will be socialized today with civil society to collect subsidies before their materialization.
With the Largo de Cruz dos Passos, the City Hall of São Filipe, according to a press release, wants the square and the entire surrounding area to be a point of convergence and reference of the city of São Filipe, with various functions to help in social organization and to redefine important roles for the city, this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.
In relation to the Presidio Square, the main stage of the cultural activities of the Municipality Day and the São Filipe Flag festivals, the requalification will allow to return to this space its initial format and statutes.
Located on the cliff that overviewed the Fonte Vila, Presidio began by a simple retention wall of the floods and erosion, built by the City Hall in 1913/15, being at this moment a space attracting numerous visitors for being a viewpoint on the extension of black sand beach, Brava island and Rombos Islet.
