Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government will proceed on Thursday, 25th, in Mindelo, to decorate eight artists and culture makers from Mindelo with Medals of Cultural Merit.
The act, according to information from the executive, will be presided over by the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, representing the Government.
At the event, which takes place late Thursday afternoon, in the Noble Hall of the São Vicente City Council, Adriano Cruz Cabral “Duca”, Avelino Chantre, Constantino Cardoso, Daniel da Silva Mariano “Dani Mariano”, Hernani Almeida , Vicente Duarte Neves “Tchenta”, Zenaida Alfama Medina and Luís Filipe Cardeal de Lima.
These distinctions, according to the executive, are made within the scope of the National Day of Culture and Communities, October 18th, celebrated in 2023 under the motto “We Are Culture”.
