Africa-Press – Cape verde. The first winner of the Factura da Felicdade Award, awarded by the National Directorate of State Revenue (DNRE), called this Friday, in Mindelo, for the exercise of citizenship and for everyone to help the development of the country’s economy.
Rafael Vasconcelos is the first person to receive the shopping voucher card awarded with the Factura da Felicidade draw, organized by DNRE in collaboration with the Red Cross of Cape Verde, which takes place weekly, and broadcast live on Televisão Cabo -Verdiana (TCV) every Tuesday.
The prize was awarded this Friday at the Mindelo Finance Department, and, to Inforpress, Rafael Vasconcelos said he was surprised, as he was not very aware of the draw.
“But I was very happy. The initiative is very good and effectively brings the dynamics of the economy, because we have to make purchases and always ask for an invoice with NIF”, stated Rafael Vasconcelos, for whom the initiative brings “transparency, fundamental for citizenship and development for the our country”.

On the DNRE side, tax inspector Nélida Fortes recalled that all Cape Verdeans can join the prize as long as they request an invoice with the Tax Identification Number (NIF), starting at 100 escudos, a value from which a coupon.
“For example, if I have a bill for a thousand escudos, I have ten coupons, which will be drawn every week at TCV”, he explained, adding that the coupon has a value of 200 thousand escudos in purchase, given through a prepaid card and which can be used at any POS and Vinti4 network, you just cannot make withdrawals or transfers.
According to the same source, other draws have been created since December, but the process of producing the card in the name of the winners is still underway, a process carried out by Caixa Económica de Cabo Verde, a partner in the initiative.
Every taxpayer can also access the happiness platform, efatura.cv , to check whether the drawn coupon number is associated with their NIF.
According to the National Directorate of State Revenues, the Invoice of Felicidade is an instrument to combat tax fraud and evasion, which aims to promote and reward tax citizenship, encouraging citizens to request an invoice with NIF, reinforcing transparency in relations between taxpayers and the Tax Administration.
