Africa-Press – Cape verde. The total movement of passengers at national airports and aerodromes increased by more than 15% in April, year-on-year, exceeding 226 thousand passengers, according to data from the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC).
According to AAC, the archipelago’s four international airports and three aerodromes registered a total movement of 226,737 passengers in April, an increase of 15.0% in the same month of 2023.
This is, however, a drop of 15.2% compared to March, the immediately previous month.
According to the same data, the majority of April’s passengers were registered on international flights (183,784), and the remainder on domestic flights.
Still in May, the archipelago’s airports and airfields registered a movement of 2,428 aircraft, on national and international flights, an increase of 8.6% compared to the same month in 2023 and a drop of 19.1% compared to the previous month.
Still in the month of May, 78,648 loads were moved. Postal movement was 29,388, an increase of 9% compared to the same month of the previous year and a drop of 10.4% compared to the previous month
