Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, announced on Monday that the People’s Palace in Mindelo will host, in April, the first Superior Council of National Defense meeting.
According to the same source, who spoke this morning to the press, in Mindelo, the conditions are gradually creating for the People’s Palace to have operating conditions, including with ongoing refurbishments.
“There are not enough resources, but we will gradually remodel the palace and have the new Organic Statute, create a minimum staff so that it is effectively open”, said José Maria Neves, adding that the infrastructure will work online together with the Presidential Palace, in the City of Praia, to provide “services to the expectations of the São Vicente residents”.
On the other hand, he said this will achieve the announcement made during the election campaign regarding the Council of the Republic meetings, which is to be appointed in the coming days, and also the Superior Council of National Defense should be transferred to São Vicente.
