Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Tarrafal City Hall presented the program of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the creation of the municipality.
According to information provided in the program, activities began on July 8th and continued until August 30th.
This year the program covered the actions framed in the II meeting promoted by the Soares de São Nicolau Association.
On the cultural front, another edition of the tuna festival, the Praia de Tedja music festival and also a children’s festival are planned.
Regarding sports, according to information provided, the fifth edition of the Futsal Cup is taking place and there will also be traditional games, a youth tournament, athletics and cycling races, a non-federated tournament and even beach games.
The program also includes the launch of some works, presentation of the municipal market project, delivery of equipment to the fishermen’s association, official presentation of the Águas de São Nicolau Company, International Youth Day, among other activities.
The day of the municipality of Tarrafal de São Nicolau is celebrated on August 2nd and a solemn session and solemn mass will be held in honor of the municipality.
