Africa-Press – Cape verde. It was announced that this afternoon, drinking water will be distributed to the areas of São Pedro, Covada de Bruxa, Chã de Vital, and Pedra Rolada, using Civil Protection tanker trucks with logistical support from the island of Santo Antão.
The Cape Verdean Ministry of Internal Administration, in a statement, stated that the National Civil Protection and Fire Service will continue intensifying efforts to ensure the supply of drinking water to the populations affected by the heavy rains that occurred on August 11th.
It is worth noting that, this Monday, they had announced the distribution of water in the areas of Salamansinha, Ribeirinha, Pedra Rolada, and Fonte Francês.
It is also worth emphasizing that the company Electra has already resumed water production, reaching a capacity of approximately 325 tons per hour yesterday, Tuesday. The supply by zone is expected to resume tomorrow, Thursday.
