Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean artist Léo Pereira, 35, will take to the stage at the LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo concert hall (Portugal) this Saturday to officially present his new album entitled “Refrão do tempo” (Chorus of Time).
In statements to Inforpress today in Lisbon, the young musician and composer recalled that the album, composed of 11 tracks with diverse styles such as kizomba, afronaná and funaná, was released on October 25, 2025, accompanied by a music video on all digital platforms.
The artist, who has been based in Portugal for over 20 years, collaborated with his 10-year-old son, Thiago, along with Cape Verdean artists Big Z Patronato, Grace Évora, Ferro Gaita, Djilu di Djinha, and Lejemea, respectively, on the songs “Lebam”, “Ngosta”, “Bo e di mas”, “Vida e so 1”, and “Nka ta largou”.
“Lambuxa na bo”, “So si bu ka kre”, “Carta”, “Ka finda”, “Bu fadja”, and “Bai” are other tracks from the album, which was produced by Aldo Baby, Fredy Beatz, Lejemea, and Mr VR.
“The refrain of time, because between highs and lows, losses and victories, sometimes tears and silences, sometimes you even feel like giving up. Time was my applause, my company, and my advisor. Time taught me to be stronger, hence the refrain of time,” explained the young artist, originally from Rincão, Santa Catarina (Santiago). Joining the artist, who promises a night “full of energy and great vibes from beginning to end,” are artists C.James, Grace Évora, Djilu di Djinha, Neyna, Mileny Gomes, BigZ Patronato, Panamera Boys, MC Gasolina, Limacoox, and Deejay (DJ) Sidney MC.
Léo Pereira announced that “Refrão do Tempo,” which follows “Nha Sonho” (2015), “Super Amor” (2019), and “Nha Stória” (2020), will be presented in Paris on March 21st, Boa Vista on March 28th, and Praia on April 11th, 2026.
