Two-Year-Old Girl Abducted From Bulawayo Mall Found Safe

Africa-Press – Cape verde. A two-year-old toddler, Asanda Ndlovu, who was abducted from Meikles Mall in Bulawayo Central Business District on Tuesday, has been found alive on Thursday morning at a city flat, in the company of a woman believed to be her kidnapper.

The child was found after two technicians from a private security firm, specialists in installing CCTV systems, acted on a tip-off from a vigilant member of the public.

One of the technicians told the Chronicle that an informer had confirmed the toddler’s whereabouts at the flat after reviewing CCTV footage. Said the technician:

“The informer said she suspected the toddler was somewhere in a flat but wanted to get a closer view of the CCTV footage.

“We showed the informer clearer footage, and she confirmed that it was her she had seen.

“We immediately contacted CID Homicide, who sprang to action and drove to the flat and true to the informant, the toddler was found.”
