Africa-Press – Cape verde. The semi-finals of the Cape Verde Cup were completed with the qualification of the Sanjoanenses team, who beat Onze Unidos 2-1 on Tuesday, joining Mindelense, Grémio Nhagar and Sal Rei in the final stage.
The team from the island of Santo Antão secured the last available spot on Tuesday, the 21st, in a match played in Porto Novo, stamping their passport to the “final four” where they will face Mindelense.
The other semi-final will pit Grémio Nhagar (Santiago Norte) against Sport Sal Rei Club (Boa Vista).
In the second phase, Mindelense confirmed their favoritism by thrashing Belo Horizonte 4-1 in São Nicolau.
Grémio Nhagar secured their place after a 1-1 draw against Desportivo da Praia, winning on penalties (3-2).
The biggest win of the round was by Sport Sal Rei Club, who defeated Juventus de Curral Grande by a resounding 6-1 at the Arsênio Ramos Stadium on Boa Vista Island.
Although the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF) has not yet officially announced all the logistical details, information suggests that the “final four” of the tournament should take place on Sal Island between April 29 and May 2.
