Africa-Press – Cape verde. A Cabo Verdean doctors Delegation based in the USA, called the “Cabo Verdean Physicians Medical Society”, was available to help Cabo Verde in the health sector, especially in training, education and research.
The announcement was made by Manuel Fontes, the Delegation’s representative, after being received by the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, where he said that for about a year he has been working in collaboration with Cabo Verdean doctors and nurses.
According to him, the Delegation created just over a year ago currently has more than 50 members from various areas of medicine and intends to make its contribution to the health sector in Cabo Verde in terms of training, education, practice, research and other areas.
“At this time we have brought doctors from the Ethnology area and seven went to the island of São Vicente, and we have here specialists in mental illness, vascular surgical doctors, hernia, laparoscopic surgery, Internal Medicine, cardiac anesthesia and intensive care”, pointed out the responsible.
