Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government wants registration in social security for Freelancers in Cabo Verde, in order to ensure assistance and avoid poverty, said today the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire.
Fernando Elísio Freire announced this information on the way out of a meeting with the Specialized Committee on Education, Culture, Health, Youth, Sport and Social Issues of Parliament, where he presented the Programa Mais.
“We are finding a solution for people, those who are carpenters, farmers, cultural agents, who promote events, who have some income and then by not being registrated in the social security system, at first difficulty falls into poverty, what we are calling for at the moment is a strong mobilization for the registration of all in the social security system, because it guarantees medical care, guarantees health and guarantees pensions and assistance in the most difficult times”, explained the Minister of the Family.
The Minister explained that this measure serves as an incentive for people to registering, so as to “protect” the country and ensure that in the future there are fewer poor people than there are today.
