Africa-Press – Cape verde. Portugal’s Defense Minister, Maria Helena Chaves Carreiras, was this afternoon received by the President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, with whom he said she had discussed “a little” of what are the concerns of the two countries.
“It was a courtesy conversation, the President welcomed us, we already knew each other, it was a great pleasure to meet here, we had crossed at the University, so we had the opportunity to remember that time, but also to discuss a little what today are our concerns of both countries,” the Minister said in a statement to Inforpress.
It is a meeting which took place in a context of war in which difficulties are being faced, so it served as an exchange of views in “very free and very open” way on this situation, she said.
“We also reflect on our trajectories and work we have been doing in our countries. We are talking about this morning’s meeting of the Ministers of Defense of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP).
