FAAPA’s president points to sports journalists as “central actors” for a new sporting philosophy in Africa

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The president of the Atlantic Federation of African News Agencies (FAAPA) pointed to sports journalists in Rabat, Morocco, this Friday as the “central actors” for the creation of a new sports philosophy on the African continent.

Khalil Hachimi Idrisi made these considerations in the closing speech of the training on “Techniques for new practices of sports journalism”, which took place from 23 to 27 this month in Rabat.

“Journalists have to be proactive in creating a new sports philosophy and be the promoters of the development of sport on our continent,” he said.

He also added that, in general, journalists are the “actors of democracy”, and sports people play an important role in the development of sport.
