Africa-Press – Cape verde. Coach Dário Furtado replaces Ivanildo Mendes in charge of Sporting da Praia, after the club’s 2-0 defeat against Varandinha, on the third round of the National Football Championship.
The information was confirmed to Inforpress by a member of the board of the Lions club, adding that the new coach led today’s training with a view to the game of the next round, “at home”, with Varandinha.
Dário Furtado, who started this season in the technical command of Travadores, after experiences as an assistant coach at Boavista da Praia, returns to a club where he stood out as a footballer.
In the national championship, Sporting occupies the second position of group A with three points, the same as Varandinha and Ultramarina, in a pool led by Rosariense, with nine points.
