
Africa-Press – Cape verde. PAICV’s MP in the South Santiago constituency denounced on Thursday the lack of water, unemployment, especially among young people, and the absence of a Government policy impacting on improving the lives of the population.
These concerns were expressed to Inforpress by the MP Manuel Brito, in Fontes Almeida. After aone-week visit to the South Santiago, he also criticized the “terrible conditions of the road”, the problem of water claimed by the population living of rearing of livestock, lack of pasture, among other concerns.
The parliamentarian revealed that the population is worn out by the damage to the roads and the cracks in the houses caused by the Chinese company trucks operating in this locality, without the residents benefiting from any compensation, so he urged the Government, together with the City Hall, to seek the best solution to solve the problem of residents.
As for the visit to Achada Grande Trás, in the City of Praia, MPs from the largest opposition party criticized the leak of the sewage in the Casa para Todos, claiming that it calls into question public health, which is why they require a decision by the authorities towards a definitive resolution of this concern, at a time when there is much talk of combating malaria.
