Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde lost 2-0 to Burkina Faso, in a game counting for the qualification of the CAN 2023. The game took place in Morocco, at the Marrakech stadium. The next match between Tubarões Azuis is scheduled for Tuesday, 7th, against Togo, at the same venue.
Despite a first half where Cabo Verde tried to reach the goal, Tubarões Azuis were unable to put the ball in the goal, losing in this debut of qualifying for the CAN 2023.
Burkina Faso’s goals were all scored in the second half of the game, the first by H.Bandé and the second by Dango Outatara. Cape Verde failed to turn any of the eight shots into a goal, against Burkina Faso’s 14.
Even without goals, the Blue Sharks had more time in possession of the ball (52%) than the opponent (48%). In terms of fouls, Cape Verde committed 17 and Burkina Faso 13.
